CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) Launches Mobile Application Certification (MAC)

CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) & TSE has launched the Mobile Application Certification (MAC) to improve the quality, security, and trust of mobile apps in Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur, 1 July 2025 – CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) is proud to announce the official launch of the Mobile Application Certification (MAC) Scheme, a national initiative aimed at elevating the quality, trustworthiness, and competitiveness of mobile applications developed and offered within Malaysia.

As mobile applications continue to play a central role in commerce, government services, and daily life, the MAC Scheme sets out to ensure that mobile apps are not only functional but also secure, privacy-conscious, and reliable — in line with international best practices.

Early Adoption Phase Now Open

CyberSecurity Malaysia is now inviting mobile app developers, digital service providers, and organizations across industries to participate in the early adoption phase of the MAC Scheme. This is a strategic opportunity for mobile application owners to:
